A Cosmopolitan, affectionately referred to as a "Cosmo" by those who love it, is quite possibly the perfect drink. If you've never made one before, the trick is not overdoing the triple sec and or the cranberry juice. But the more you make a Cosmopolitan, the sooner you'll discover the perfect balance of each ingredient. You may prefer a little more orange liqueur, or slightly less lime juice.
Start with… 2 ounces vodka ½ ounce fresh lime juice ½ ounce triple sec ¾ ounce cranberry juice (organic if you can get your hands on it)
Pour all of the ingredients into a shaker filled with ice, and then shake it all well until properly mixed. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a lime wheel or wedge. Serve and enjoy immediately.
