Food, wine, new friends, a spectacular setting, and of course...cocktails. What could be a better way to spend a weekend? We were honored to have been asked to do a This Girl Walks Into A Bar cocktail bottling demo at The Big Potluck retreat last weekend in Temecula, and had an incredible time. And that incredible time was not just made up of our indulgence in fine cheese and glorious desserts. We were we surrounded by the beautiful landscape of wine country, and embraced into a family of food-loving writers, chefs, bakers, and entrepreneurs. This unique retreat was made up of 75 food enthusiasts and experts, all there to learn from each other and make connections to broaden their blogging community. Hosted by the dynamic threesome Three Many Cooks (Pam Anderson and her two daughters, Maggy and Sharon), along with their hard working team, the weekend consisted of guest speakers, group workshops, and most importantly a big pot luck. Guests were asked to bring dessert items, and Pam and her team cooked EVERYTHING else, including homemade ice cream, flatbreads, breakfast casseroles...you name it, we ate it. A highlight of the weekend was getting to know some really smart, driven women and men who have blogs worth checking out!
