Tequila Infusions: Grapefruit, Orange, Mint & Vanilla

We like to think of mason jars as the slow cookers of the cocktail world except that you don't have to worry your house will burn down while you're at work. Pack a jar full of fruits, herbs, and/or spices in the morning before work, store it in a cupboard or in the fridge before you leave, and have a delicious ready-to-serve drink waiting for you after a long day at work.

If you're hosting a party, it's also fun to fill jars (small sizes perhaps?) for every guest that you're expecting. As each friend arrives, you have a customized little cocktail to present.

This is one of our favorite summertime recipes. If you can, give the jar a few gentle shakes throughout the day to mix everything up. When you're ready to serve it, collect the solid ingredients by filtering the mixture through a strainer into a martini shaker, or straight into a glass filled with ice.
