Make a Blueberry Margarita 4 Nat'l Margie Day!

February 22nd is National Margarita Day! We've never shared a recipe for a blueberry Margarita before, which is kinda amazing considering that our cousins own a blueberry farm in upstate New York. Every summer for about 15 years we'd visit our grandparents and they'd drive us over to the "Patch" to swim, pick blueberries, eat apple pie, and play croquet. This was back in the day when summer homework consisted of nothing more than the teacher's instructions to have a good summer. Freshly frozen blueberries taste best, but if it's not blueberry season, we suggest using frozen organic blueberries. Just keep in mind that this is not a good drink choice for a first date. It tastes amazing but there are wayyyyy too many bits of blue things that are going to get stuck in your teeth.

Directions As soon as you have the inkling to make this drink, chill your liqueur ingredients for best results.

Drag a lemon wedge around the rim of a glass, then dip the glass into a plate of sugar. Shake off the excess and set aside. Combine all the ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. Pour into a Margarita or bucket glass and serve.
