Halloween is just as exciting when you're all grown up because you get to trade candy treats for cocktail treats. For this Halloween, we've developed a couple of cocktails with 1915 Bolthouse Farms juices and smoothies, made with ingredients that are actually good for you! These recipes have just enough sweetness to satisfy that sweet tooth (mine gets really loud on October 31st :/), and are extremely easy to make for a weekend of festive entertaining. Have questions? The best part about these drinks is that you can easily swap out the designated spirit for your favorite go-to. Try the Draculini with vodka or gin. Make the Mango Monstah with tequila or whiskey. When the base ingredient is so pure and fresh, you really can't go wrong with a little experimentation at home.
Draculini 4 ounces 1915 Bolthouse Farms Beet Juice 1.5 ounces bourbon 1 ounce organic carrot and brown sugar simple syrup
Directions Fill a martini shaker with ice and add each ingredient. Shake several seconds to mix, then strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a spider and serve.
Organic Carrot Brown Sugar Simple Syrup Recipe 1 cup water 1 cup organic brown sugar 1 cup sliced organic carrots
Combine the ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil over medium high heat. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15 – 20 minutes. Occasionally stir the simple syrup to keep the brown sugar from burning on the bottom. Once the simmering is complete, remove the pot from the stove and allow the mixture to cool. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Mango Monstah 4 ounces 1915 Bolthouse Farms Mango Juice 1.5 ounces spiced rum 1 ounce peach brandy ½ ounce fresh lemon juice Lemon wheel wedge
Directions Fill a martini shaker with ice and add each ingredient. Shake several seconds to mix, then strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a lemon wheel and serve.
