Classic Cocktails: Fruit Rum Frappe Drink Recipe

If I was stranded on a desert island, and had to choose only six spirits or liqueurs to get me through an existence without Netflix, twitter, and ketchup, then creme de bananas, otherwise known as "banana liqueur," would definitely be on that list. Creme de bananes is one of those secret ingredients that can take a ho-hum cocktail and turn it into a something magical. It's like adding truffles to fries, sea salt to your chocolate sundae, or a splash of jalapeño juice to your guacamole. It's that extra something. This Fruit Rum Frappe cocktail is a classic recipe that is usually served blended. We prefer to serve it over crushed ice to keep the drink from getting too watered down. Blended drinks just get so slushy so fast. Try it both ways and see which you prefer.
