There's a cardinal rule about grocery shopping. If your cart goes past the same display three times and you can't take your eyes off of it, or thinking about it, or imagining what it will taste like when you get home, it means you have to buy what you see, no questions asked. That's what happened to us this weekend at Whole Foods in Venice. This six-pack of California Ace Pineapple Hard Cider practically lets into our arms as we passed by and we couldn't resist. But wait until you taste it! It's like, so pineapplely you're going to freak out. And it's also only 5% ABV so it was perfect to drink as we assembled our IKEA kitchen island for that garage bar we're building. You know how crazy things can get if you start fumbling the Allen wrench. 5% is just enough to keep a girl mellow while following directions that don't have words.
