Thanksgiving is our favorite holiday. Even my youngest child was singing a made-up Thanksgiving song last night while coloring, and it covered all the things about the day that make a child happy: family, mashed potatoes, pie, ice cream, pie, ice cream, pie...
As an adult with a popular cocktail blog, no holiday meal would be complete without a specialty drink to share with all our readers (and guests of course). This year, we've developed a delicious cranberry sangria that's so mild and smooth and versatile that you can serve it any time of day. Growing up, we ate Thanksgiving dinner around 1:00 but now that I'm hosting it myself, I prefer to dine when it's dark. I don't like to eat a big lunch but dinner is another story!
We always start with a decadent fruit, cheese, and nut plate that will pair soooo perfectly with this drink. The cranberry sangria also goes well with the turkey and all the fixings. You really can't go wrong here. It will also keep for days and days. If you have enough left, you can serve it at a few of your December parties.
If you make this recipe, please tag us in your photos so that we can share too!
